I’ve been a fan of spectator sports all my life. My fondest childhood memories involve my grandfather taking me to a ball game. This tradition was one I continued with my son and daughter and, long after, their kids. Journalism is in my genes. My son John and daughter Eleanor are themselves avid writers and former student journalists, and my oldest grandson Tanner is following in his father’s, aunt’s, and grandfather’s footsteps.
