It’s sucked when the NFL decided to penalize players for celebrating too much in the end zone. But if you’re looking for some funny football dances, just go to YouTube and search for “funny football dances.” Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens are two of the best to do it.

2. Drew Stanton’s hilarious kid-like touchdown celebration

Arizona backup quarterback Drew Stanton wasn’t able to contain his childhood spirit during a touchdown by Andre Ellington. He celebrated on the sidelines like a little kid. When the game is hyped, sometimes you got to cheer like no one’s watching. Watch it here.

Four reasons super teams are ruining the NBA

If you can learn something from the current NBA off-season, it’s that the 2017-18 season could be the era of “super teams.” Last year, the only super team we can call were the Cavs and the Warriors. Now, we have these two teams and the Thunder and Rockets.

Here are reasons super teams are ruining the NBA: 

1. Super teams make small market smaller 

You make a super team by buying three or more superstars. Now, teams that can afford this much are those with a higher salary cap. Teams like Charlotte, Indiana, Milwaukee, and Memphis won’t make enough money because they won’t gain as many sales because of their smaller markets, making them more irrelevant in the future. 

2. It isn’t fun to watch anymore 

With the current format of NBA teams, where you see uber-powerful teams versus a bunch of “scrubs,” it becomes less and less exciting to watch the regular season games. You wouldn’t spend your time watching the Warriors go against the 76ers. So, people just wait for the Finals. 

3. Players are taking the easy way out 

Kevin Durant’s decision to take the easy way out (any way you see it, he really did take the easy way out), started a trend among players to just team up to make the most dominant team, instead of working hard to improve individually, making the league as a whole look weak.

World Cup Legends: The Kaiser

Once again, we find ourselves months away from the greatest spectacle in sports – the FIFA World Cup. And as such, we are here to pay tribute to one of its greatest stars of all-time, the indomitable Franz Beckenbauer, also known as the Kaiser.

Beckenbauer can easily be named alongside the game’s greatest legends such as Pele, Maradona, Platini, Maldini, and Messi. He is a two-time World Cup winner, winning once in 1972 with West Germany, and another in 1990 as a team manager. He was also the first to win the World Cup, European Championship, and European Cup (on club level) as a captain.

Beckenbauer is called the Kaiser because of his leadership on the pitch. His talent though goes well beyond that. In fact, sports writers and historians have held him responsible for the creation of the “sweeper” position in football – a position of great importance, wherein the player takes control of defense, playmaking, and offense. Beckenbauer revolutionized the defender’s position, evidence of just how far ahead of his time he was as a footballer.

In 1998, Beckenbauer was named as part of the World Team of the 20th Century, and four years later, would be included in the FIFA World Cup Dream Team. In 2004, Beckenbauer would be part of the 100 greatest players of FIFA.

Why Michael Jordan will forever be basketball’s GOAT

A few weeks ago, Lebron James passed Michael Jordan in playoff points, and a marked few started once again buzzing about King James’ claim to the GOAT throne. There is one argument that can put an end of to this – the number of people, fans and experts alike who regard Jordan as the GOAT. He has had an overwhelming majority consider him to be the greatest in basketball history, a recognition no one before him, or since attained.

We can talk about skills ‘til the cows come home, and they both had their strengths and weaknesses. But where MJ really excels is at the mental aspect of the game. He is cold, calculating, and could beat any team if he wanted to. And his mental fortitude is one of the toughest in the game. 

Another huge advantage MJ has over most GOAT candidates is with his charisma. No other player has as huge a following, and has had more people wear his signature shoes. Jordan probably has more fans than any other player in the league past or present. 

Sure, people will have different ideas as to who really holds the title of GOAT, but 7 out of 10 people who’ve watched the game and enjoyed it will probably give you one name – and it isn’t Lebron James.

Paul George to the Warriors: Another ridiculous super team idea

So the latest buzz is that Paul George might be on his way to Golden State. Just when we thought the super team culture in the NBA couldn’t get any worse, they’re at it again.

The Warriors are just fresh off a championship with new arrival Kevin Durant in the fold, making them the team to beat next year, and most likely, in the next few years to come. 

They were already formidable with Curry and Thompson. The Warriors were a very balanced team, who had the workings of an organic success with what assets they had in their line-up. They grew from the draft, with only a few trades to bolster their presence as a playoff team. 

They also had the perfect role player in Draymond Green and an able veteran in Andre Iguodala.

When Durant came in, that was the end of an era for Golden State. They took the route of the super team, wherein it seems that the main formula suggests that an overkill in talent is the only way to win crowns. 

Not a few people lost respect for the Warriors because of this move. Now the fans are staring at the possibility of Paul George entering the Dubs. 

Just when we thought that it couldn’t get any worse with Durant’s entry, here goes Golden State with another super move, one that’s sure to leave heads shaking. 

It’s getting increasingly disinteresting and downright distasteful.
